Africa in Motion® Film Festival, Scotland’s only festival dedicated to African film and culture, is on a break for a period of reflection, reorganisation and restructure.

To revitalise the festival’s mission, Africa in Motion’s Trustees have recruited an interim consulting team to carry out audience research and development work. Supported by Screen Scotland, the team will be exploring areas where the festival can better serve audiences and the wider film community in Scotland, with the aim of announcing a renewed vision and future plans by the end of 2024.

We are excited to share the outcomes of this activity with our stakeholders soon. We remain steadfast in our commitment to promoting African culture and supporting the community.
